PUMPKIN PIES and Happy THANKSGIVING!
On Monday, November 22nd, 5th graders and their families met together to bake pumpkin pies for Orchard Drive Baptist Church. This church in the Sanville area is gracious enough to prepare over 500 Thanksgiving meals for families in the area. As a community outreach project, the 5th graders and their families volunteered their time to bake these pies. We had tons of fun and Mrs. Stovall, Ms. Roop and I were able to deliver 32 pies to the church Tuesday morning! My prayer is that all of you have tons to be thankful for this holiday season and that you have a wonderful THANKSGIVING holiday! Love and blessings to you all!

HOME MOVIES and Vocabulary
We have been having a tremendous time learning new vocabulary words using the Flocabulary cd. The music is catchy and the lyrics are fun. One of the songs that we learned was called HOME MOVIES. We decided that it would be fun to make a music video, if you will, of this song. I have been amazed at the amount of musical talent that we have in our classrooms. Your children are amazing!
Below are some pictures from our video day.
We also had the opportunity to share the songs we have learned at the PTA meeting this month. My favorite part was hearing them sing, but also watching them take so much pride in all that they have learned. Also, I loved seeing the parents dance with their children to our wake up song, Sweet Caroline!
